CURIOSITIES OF GRANCE SENESI DOC WINE

The DOC Grance Senesi wine was born in the land of the gullies, travertine and yellow marble that extends between the Chianti area and Val d’Orcia. Grance Senesi DOC wine owes its name to the fortified farms and granaries which were widespread throughout  the south of Siena: the Grance, farms with large granaries and cellars that were used to keep and protect farm produce from the land holdings of the Hospital of Our Lady of the Staircase in Siena.
